Y6 Visit to the Stay Safe workshops

October 18, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Dear parents and carers,

After more than a year of ‘different’, we are very excited about the fact that we are able to head out on trips again! As part of our PSHE learning, we will be going to Bradford City F.C. to take part in a ‘Stay Safe’ event.

The visit will take place during the school day on Tuesday, 18th October. Depending on traffic coming back from the event, there is a chance that we will be back a little bit late. We aim to be back by 3.20pm at the latest and will keep you informed of any delays by text message.

The visit will include several sessions covering safety in lots of parts of our community. These sessions will be led by experts – in the past, there have been first aid trainers, representatives from the National Grid and NHS staff along with several others. This is an excellent opportunity to learn some important safety messages and techniques from the experts.

There will be a small charge of £5 per pupil for this trip. Please ensure this is paid by Friday, 8th October either in cash or via ParentPay.

Whilst the visit will take place in the afternoon, we will need to leave a little before our usual lunchtime and so pupils will need to bring a packed lunch on that day. If your child is entitled to Free School Meals and you would like a packed lunch provided by school, please indicate on the slip below.

Please cut off and return the slip on the letter, giving permission for your child to join us on this trip and indicating if you need a packed lunch provided by school if your child is entitled to Free School Meals.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher.
